Although Capcom is still yet to announce a Resident Evil 2 demo (if there will be one in the first place), a Twitter user who goes by the name of Anthony Robert posted photos online of what seems to be the menu screen of the upcoming demos. The images show the ruins of Raccoon City as a backdrop with three selections, Leon Demo, Claire Demo, and Options, suggesting that players will be able to play as both Leon and Claire in the preview.
While the photos look legit, players must still take this information with a grain of salt as Capcom still hasn’t issued a word about an upcoming demo. Moreover, Roberts wasn’t able to provide any additional proof to back up his claims aside from a sketchy video of him booting up the demo from what looks like a modded PlayStation 4 that didn’t open.

Of course, while there is no substantial proof to support this claim, a playable demo for the Resident Evil 2 remake is likely not far off. It is worth remembering that during the development of Resident Evil 7, Capcom released a playable demo back in December of 2016, with the full game published by January 2017. Given that Resident Evil 2 remake
is releasing on January 25, 2019, it is safe to assume that if Capcom
does decide to launch a playable demo, then players can expect it to
roll out sometime this December.
As the Resident Evil 2 remake is approaching release day
soon, fans are wondering which game the developer will remake next.
Capcom has previously stated that it is open to remaking more games in
the future, but cannot commit to a specific title until the release of Resident Evil 2 remake. While a reimagining of Resident Evil’s third game seems to be the obvious choice, Capcom says that enough time has passed to remake the first Resident Evil again.
Resident Evil 2 is scheduled to release on January 25, 2018, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
